Crafting memories with Resin art
I’m not sure how many people already know about resin art or have tried it themselves. But if you spend even a little time scrolling through Instagram these days, chances are you’ve come across this beautiful and fascinating art form.
I’ve always loved arts and crafts, so naturally, resin art caught my attention. Curious and excited, I decided to try it out. My very first attempt was a resin photo frame that I planned to gift to a friend. Sadly, it didn’t turn out the way I imagined. I made a lot of beginner mistakes and failed miserably. I never ended up gifting it, but I kept it with me—as a reminder that every failure is just a step toward learning.
Determined to do better, I enrolled in a three-day online course to understand the basics of resin art. Before I go any further into my experience, let me share what resin art actually is.
Resin is a non-toxic chemical that is mixed with a hardener and left to cure for about 24 hours. Once it hardens, it preserves whatever is placed inside it, turning simple ideas into lasting, customized keepsakes.
What I love most about resin art is how expressive it is. There are no limits—your creativity decides the outcome. The more thought and imagination you put in, the more meaningful and beautiful the final piece becomes.
Recently, I had the chance to create something truly special—a customized gift for my in-laws’ 72nd anniversary. I designed a personalized couple photo frame with decorative lights, pouring my heart into every detail. When I finally presented it to them, their happiness said it all. My husband was equally amazed, and that moment made every effort feel worthwhile.
We celebrated the occasion with a cake cutting, shared a lovely dinner, and spent the rest of the evening laughing and enjoying each other’s company. It was a simple yet unforgettable family moment—made even more special by a piece of art created with love.
